Microsoft announces new capabilities to Microsoft Teams phone to keep users secure and productive. Enhancements such as gallery view 3 X 3 layout, hard mute, together mode, will align the app with Teams desktop.
The meetings in Teams is improved with support for the new video layout. The users can use together mod with a 3 X 3 gallery view and large gallery view to view up to 49 participants. There is a new background blur feature to reduce distractions during video meetings.
The big news for Teams mobile is the new “meet now” feature that makes it easy for users to collaborate with colleagues. With this feature the user can select the “meet now” option in the calendar interface to instantly start Teams meeting and add participants for discussions.
The Teams phone will now give screen sharing features on specific models of touch screen audio phones. The company is also detailing a new spotlight feature that brings the ability for presenters to pin individual video feeds for participants to see during a meeting.
Another improvement for meetings is the inclusion of a hard mute feature. The request to speak feature enables organizers to disable attendees from unmuting during a meeting.
There are new details and some new updates to Teams phone. A Sidecar support is added which makes it easier for phone users to quickly access contacts on the desk phone. Users can use the new access array to pin their contacts in the Teams phone on the Sidecar screen. This is available on touch and non-touch hardware.
